  • Our read: EasyAlpha grades Crowdstrike Holdings Inc C, denoting average quality among its Technology peers, with strong growth counterbalanced by a demanding valuation line.
  • The day: The shares surged 8.2% to close at $257.57 after partner channel checks indicated accelerating cybersecurity spending into year-end.
  • Watching: The next quarterly earnings report, scheduled for Tuesday, December 1.

On Friday, October 23, the rally marked CrowdStrike's eighth-largest daily advance of the past year and its largest single-day gain since Monday, September 14, with trading volume reaching 1.6x the 20-session average. The advance followed channel checks showing firmer cybersecurity budgets heading into the final months of the year. Partner channel checks also pointed to accelerating artificial intelligence security activity and strong traction for CrowdStrike.

Urgency across the sector was also reinforced by disclosures of PHP vulnerabilities earlier in the week. Together, those developments left the shares at +13.3% over the past week.

Yet the business behind that momentum shows clear limits when tested against industry peers. EasyAlpha grades Crowdstrike Holdings Inc C compared to its industry peers. In EasyAlpha's historical studies, companies graded A or B have demonstrated stronger fundamentals and carried a lower risk of large drawdowns than companies graded D or E. A C grade denotes average quality, representing a typical company for its industry.

The company's financial results show a sharp divide between business expansion and price. On growth, quarterly revenue growth stands at +25.8% year over year. But on valuation, the shares remain demanding, trading at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 208.3, while generating a profit margin of 0.8%.

Wall Street sentiment remains optimistic despite that demanding valuation. Most covering analysts maintain positive ratings, but Friday's surge pushed the shares 4.4% above the average analyst price target. Even after this week's advance, the stock sits at -45.1% so far this year.

  • EWeakest quality
How grades work →

A grade measures quality against the other companies in a sector, from historical data. It is not a prediction, not a price target, and not advice. A company can be graded A and still fall.
