Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co posted a solid advance on Wednesday, September 30, closing +3.9% at $63.88 after the company hosted an investor event detailing higher targets for its networking business. At the event, management raised its multi-year networking growth outlook and boosted its fiscal 2028 cost-synergy target from the Juniper Networks transaction to $800 million, up from at least $600 million previously. Trading volume reached 1.2x the daily average as investors responded to the accelerated integration timeline.
The guidance upgrade was backed by fresh commercial wins in data center infrastructure. Cloud provider Vultr placed a $1.2 billion order for AMD Helios systems featuring HPE networking gear and liquid cooling. In addition, the company highlighted expanding deployment of its switching architecture across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure data centers. Management now anticipates networking segment revenue to grow in the high teens to low twenties percentage range in fiscal 2027.
The move adds to a strong run that leaves HPE +22.3% over the past month and +165.9% so far this year. The stock now sits 2.7% below its 52-week high of $65.65. Demand for computing clusters has fed directly into top-line expansion, with latest quarterly revenue at +33.7% year over year.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co carried an EasyAlpha grade of C into the session, denoting average quality compared with industry peers. In historical data, companies graded A or B have stronger fundamentals and have carried a lower risk of large drawdowns than companies graded D or E, while a C grade reflects a typical company for its industry. Across the scored dimensions, growth represents the strongest area in the profile, while liquidity remains the weakest line in the file. The shares trade at 13.6 times forward earnings.
Wall Street maintains an upbeat stance on the stock. Out of 23 covering analysts, 65.2% hold buy ratings, with an average price target of $68.08. While new artificial intelligence contracts validate the strategic rationale of the Juniper acquisition, sustaining this momentum will depend on converting system deliveries into cash flow to support balance sheet resilience.

How grades work
Every day we grade each company against the other companies in its sector, looking at its finances, how its stock trades, and what the market is signaling. The result is one simple letter.
- AExcellent quality
- BGood quality
- CAverage quality
- DBelow average
- EWeakest quality
A grade measures quality against the other companies in a sector, from historical data. It is not a prediction, not a price target, and not advice. A company can be graded A and still fall.
