  • Our read: EasyAlpha grades Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co B, pointing to good quality among Technology peers, led by growth while liquidity remains the key watch item.
  • The day: The stock rose 7.7% to close at $61.06 as an AI hardware rally broadened into server assemblers.
  • Watching: The 4.7% gap between Thursday's close and the 52-week high of $64.06.

A buying wave in AI hardware broadened into server makers on Thursday, lifting server assemblers as a group. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co led the rotation, outpacing peers such as Super Micro Computer and Dell Technologies without any company-specific earnings release or product announcement. The sharp advance marked three consecutive winning sessions for the stock.

The buying pressure also absorbed recent corporate disclosures without hesitation. Chief Executive Officer Antonio Neri sold $15.1 million in shares, while board director Gary Reiner sold roughly $967,000 in stock. Markets looked past the insider sales as hardware demand lifted the wider server complex.

EasyAlpha's assessment places Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co in the good quality tier compared to its industry peers. Companies graded A or B have stronger fundamentals, and historically they have carried a lower risk of large drawdowns than companies graded D or E. The business backs up that quality standing with operational momentum, highlighted by latest quarterly revenue growth of +33.7% year over year.

Thursday's move extends an extensive run that has lifted the shares +154.2% so far this year. That run leaves the stock sitting 211.2% above its 52-week low of $19.62. At current levels, shares trade at 12.2 times forward earnings with a profit margin of 6.7% and return on equity of 10.9%.

Wall Street analysts remain broadly favorable on the company's positioning. Out of 23 analysts covering the stock, 65.2% maintain buy ratings, with an average price target of $67.43.

How grades work →

A grade measures quality against the other companies in a sector, from historical data. It is not a prediction, not a price target, and not advice. A company can be graded A and still fall.
