Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise rallied on Tuesday after Chief Financial Officer Marie Myers told an investor conference that customer demand across networking, cloud, and artificial intelligence systems remains exceptionally strong. Myers noted that order pipelines remain durable and the integration of recent network acquisitions is moving ahead of schedule. That update added momentum to a sector-wide rebound in hardware, where investors rotated into server makers after peer Super Micro Computer delivered a gross margin beat.
The conference optimism built on quarterly results from earlier in the month, when the company reported accelerating AI server shipments and raised its full-year earnings guidance. The company reported that total revenue expanded +33.7% year over year on broad demand across enterprise infrastructure.
Tuesday's gain of 7.8% was the stock's tenth-largest daily increase over the past year, lifting the price to $56.05 on volume 1.3x the 20-session average. The rally extends a sharp advance that has brought year-to-date gains to +133.3%.
Despite rapid top-line momentum, EasyAlpha assigns HPE a quality grade of D relative to its industry peers. Companies graded A or B have stronger fundamentals, and historically they have carried a lower risk of large drawdowns than companies graded D or E. The company currently operates with a profit margin of 6.7% and a return on equity of 10.9%.
Wall Street takes a more positive view of the company. Of the 23 analysts covering the stock, 65.2% rate it a buy, with an average price target of $67.78.

How grades work
Every day we grade each company against the other companies in its sector, looking at its finances, how its stock trades, and what the market is signaling. The result is one simple letter.
- AExcellent quality
- BGood quality
- CAverage quality
- DBelow average
- EWeakest quality
A grade measures quality against the other companies in a sector, from historical data. It is not a prediction, not a price target, and not advice. A company can be graded A and still fall.
