- Our read: EasyAlpha grades Jabil Circuit Inc C, indicating average quality relative to Technology peers in the S&P 500. The company looks strongest in growth while the dividend remains the key vulnerability, and 90.0% of ten Wall Street analysts rate the stock a buy.
- The day: The shares dropped 10.0% to close at $286.83 after concerns over back-loaded margins and capacity ramp timing overshadowed strong fourth-quarter earnings and higher annual revenue guidance.
- Watching: Execution on newly expanded manufacturing capacity and margin delivery as the new fiscal year begins.
Jabil reported preliminary fourth-quarter results that came in ahead of expectations. Fourth-quarter revenue reached $10.6 billion and core diluted earnings stood at $4.40 per share, supported by surging demand across cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure. For fiscal 2027, the company projected full-year revenue of $44.5 billion, topping analyst forecasts.
Despite the stronger top-line outlook, the market focused on the timing of profitability. Management explained that margins would be back-end loaded as the company ramps substantial new production capacity. That timing prompted profit-taking and execution concerns among investors despite the quarterly beat.
The resulting sell-off was sharp. Trading volume surged to 4.1x the 20-session average, marking the stock's second-largest daily decline over the past year. The drop pulled the shares 33.1% below their 52-week high of $428.84, though the stock is +25.8% so far this year.
EasyAlpha grades Jabil C, placing it in the average quality tier among its industry peers. Companies graded A or B have stronger fundamentals, and historically they have carried a lower risk of large drawdowns than companies graded D or E, while C represents a typical company for its industry. The business demonstrates high capital efficiency, with a return on equity of 65.9%, but its trailing valuation of 39.7 times earnings and forward multiple of 19.3 leave little cushion when execution concerns arise.
Wall Street remains significantly more bullish than EasyAlpha's quality grade suggests. The consensus price target sits at $427.33, representing a 49.0% premium above Wednesday's close. The divergence highlights the tension between optimistic long-term growth forecasts and the immediate execution challenges that sparked Wednesday's pullback.

How grades work
Every day we grade each company against the other companies in its sector, looking at its finances, how its stock trades, and what the market is signaling. The result is one simple letter.
- AExcellent quality
- BGood quality
- CAverage quality
- DBelow average
- EWeakest quality
A grade measures quality against the other companies in a sector, from historical data. It is not a prediction, not a price target, and not advice. A company can be graded A and still fall.
