Crude oil, the primary energy commodity driven by global economic activity and producer supply decisions, moved lower on Monday, October 5. Prices fell as recovering Middle East export volumes and a planned 100 million barrel emergency stockpile release from the Group of Seven expanded available fuel supplies. Broader geopolitical friction in the Middle East helped limit further declines across energy markets.

How grades work
Every day we grade each company against the other companies in its sector, looking at its finances, how its stock trades, and what the market is signaling. The result is one simple letter.
- AExcellent quality
- BGood quality
- CAverage quality
- DBelow average
- EWeakest quality
A grade measures quality against the other companies in a sector, from historical data. It is not a prediction, not a price target, and not advice. A company can be graded A and still fall.
