Server and data center equipment providers rallied sharply on Friday after Oracle revealed an aggressive capital spending plan that lifted demand expectations for AI servers.
The spending forecast spurred gains across enterprise hardware vendors, lifting shares of HPE on trading volume of 1.7x typical levels. The rally marked the stock's largest single-session advance since Tuesday, June 2.
Friday's jump extends a strong run for the hardware maker. The stock has returned +158.5% so far this year and trades 216.4% above its 52-week low of $19.62, following a brief pause where AI server stocks pulled back. In its reported financials, trailing quarterly revenue growth reached +33.7%.

How grades work
Every day we grade each company against the other companies in its sector, looking at its finances, how its stock trades, and what the market is signaling. The result is one simple letter.
- AExcellent quality
- BGood quality
- CAverage quality
- DBelow average
- EWeakest quality
A grade measures quality against the other companies in a sector, from historical data. It is not a prediction, not a price target, and not advice. A company can be graded A and still fall.
